Be aware that the National Minimum Wage increases from the 1 October 2011.
After 1 October 2011 the new hourly rates will be as follows:
Apprentice* £2.60 (up from £2.50)
Age 16 -17 £3.68 (up from £3.64)
Age 18-20 £4.98 (up from £4.92)
21 and over £6.08 (up from £5.93)
* Apprentice = under 19, or 19+ in the first year of an apprenticeship.
